MBBS admission with low NEET score – Know details

Getting MBBS admission with a low NEET score can be challenging, but it is not impossible. While NEET serves as a crucial entrance examination for medical admissions in India, there are still some options available for candidates with lower scores to pursue their dream of becoming a doctor. Here are some strategies and alternatives to consider:

    1. Participate in State Counselling: States in India conduct their own NEET UG 2024 state counselling and admission processes for government and private medical colleges for 85% state quota seats. Some states may have lower cutoff scores for MBBS admission than the All India Quota (AIQ) counselling. By applying through NEET UG state counselling, candidates with slightly lower NEET scores may have a better chance of securing a seat.
    2. Management Quota: Some private medical colleges reserve a certain percentage of MBBS seats under the management quota through NEET. Candidates can apply for admission under this category, which may have slightly relaxed eligibility criteria, including NEET scores. However, it’s important to note that management quota seats often come with higher tuition fees.
    3. NRI Quota: Some private medical colleges also offer a quota for Non-Resident Indian (NRI) students. Under this quota, candidates with NRI status or foreign nationals may have the opportunity to secure admission with lower NEET scores.

    Biotechnology: Scope in India

A broad range of factors are touched by the enormous scope of biotechnology and its growing prospects in this field. New subfields are emerging as scientific and technological advances create new avenues for investigation and development. The below table summarizes the biotechnology scope in India-

    Biotechnology Scope in India
    SpecializationJob Description
Medical BiotechnologyUtilizing medical biotechnology in the healthcare industry is implied by its application. Biotechnology companies form the backbone of the healthcare industry, contributing significantly to the development of diagnostic tests, biologics, vaccines, medications, and medical equipment. Molecular biology, cell biology, recombinant technology, and immunotherapeutics are among the biotechnology fields that have benefited from the development of the medical industry. For those interested in pursuing a career in Medical Biotechnology, there are numerous career options accessible in Research and Development, Pharmaceutical Companies, Hospitals, Diagnostic Centers, the Manufacturing Sector of Biotechnology, and the Academic Sector-Clinical Laboratory TechnicianBiological Supplier ManufacturingEnvironmental TechnicianFood Safety MechanismPharmaceutical Research Technician
Pharmaceutical BiotechnologyThe development of small molecules (drugs) was the only focus of this field in the past, but with time, the industry has evolved. This sector expanded its horizon. The recent development of biopharmaceutics has added a novel perspective. Although biotechnology has always played a role in medication research and discovery, the rise in biotech businesses operating in the pharmaceutical sector can be attributed to biologics’ medicinal applications. To begin with, a few examples are vaccinations, cell-based therapies, monoclonal antibodies, and other medications.Medical ScientistChemical EngineerBiological TechnicianChemical Technician
Plant BiotechnologyMany of the raw materials and foods found on Earth originate from plants. The fact that humans are dependent on plants is not new. Biotechnology contributes to its optimal performance. Numerous issues have been encountered by agriculture, including low crop yields, declining crop quality, infestations, weeds, decreased soil fertility, and both biotic and abiotic stress. The result of genetic engineering, genetically modified crops (GMC) enabled the design of crops that were resistant to both biotic and abiotic stresses and also enhanced crop quality. One common example of a plant that resists insects is BT cotton. Recombinant technology’s Flavr Tomato crop (quality improved crop) is the result.Greenhouse or field TechnicianLaboratory AssistantGenomics TechnicianMolecular Biology TechnicianPlant tissue Culture TechnicianResearch AssociateLecturerTrainerResearch InvestigatorProject Assistant
Food BiotechnologyFood biotechnology helps to overcome challenges in food production, processing, and preservation. It also introduces new food sources, the best examples of which are single-cell proteins derived from different microorganisms and the development of value-added food products. Biotechnology is always helpful in introducing technology which aims to enhance the production, processing, packaging, and preservation of food. When it comes to food, the possibilities are endless.Employment Sector –Storage UnitsResearch UnitsLaboratoriesFood and Beverage DepartmentFood MarketingProcessing and Distributing UnitsJob Profiles –Quality ManagerFood TechnologistRegulatory Affairs OfficerTechnical BrewerChefsNutritional TherapistProduct Development Scientist
BioinformaticsBioinformatics is a new multidisciplinary science that emerged from the need to understand, analyze, and visualize biological data. Bioinformatics will persist alongside biological system research until that time comes.Bio AnalystsData ScientistsInformatics DeveloperBioinformatics ResearcherPharmaco-genetic Engineer
Environmental BiotechnologyThe goal of environmental biotechnology is to rebalance human interests, ecology, and nature. Biological intervention and bioremediation are only achievable through the application of biotechnology techniques. Plastic waste management has been a source of contention since its discovery. Among the main problems are oil spills and the accumulation of heavy metals in natural water and soil sources. These days, biotech procedures are being used to solve all of these problems. Plants, fungi, algae, and bacteria are examples of microbes that are employed in the bioremediation process. It is possible to maintain that biotechnology is essential to both the environment and humankind.Environmental Science and Protection TechnicianEnvironmental ScientistAgricultural EngineerSustainability SpecialistEnvironmental Engineer

    What is BHMS ?

Bachelor of homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS)  is a practical and theoretical education in the field of Homeopathy. People who are interested in homeopathy should believe in the natural healing power of the body and should know how to multitask. Once the course is over the student will be a doctor. The course is of 5 years divided into semesters. At the end of the course, the student is expected to partake in a mandatory internship.

    Why Choose BHMS?

Homeopathy works along with the principle “like treats like” which means something that causes harm when taken in large quantities may be beneficial if used in small amounts. It uses highly diluted materials which trigger the body’s self-healing mechanism.

Developed more than 200 years ago, it is practiced around the world even today.

    • Holistic approach: A homeopathy is a holistic approach that takes into consideration naturopathic care and healing arts, Practitioners observe how patients react to their surroundings and how their lifestyle and genetics affect their ailments.
    • Global Demand: Since this is an approach that is practiced around the globe, homeopathic doctors will find demand everywhere they go.
    • Payscale: The salary range of a BHMS graduate is generally higher than that of an Ayurvedic doctor. Students can also find ample opportunities in a government hospital.
