Bachelor of homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) is a practical and theoretical education in the field of Homeopathy. The course is of 5 years divided into semesters. At the end of the course, the student is expected to partake in a mandatory internship.

When to do BHMS?
Candidates who have completed the 10th and 12th with Biology/ Chemistry/ Physics/ English as core subjects can do BHMS course. The candidate should be at least 17 yrs of age. The allotment is done on the basis of the scores attained in the entrance exam.
Students must accept the fact that they will have to stick to homeopathic medicine for the rest of their careers. Although there is good scope in the field, they will never earn as high as an MBBS graduate.
BHMS Admission Process
BHMS Admission is generally executed via the entrance exam, especially in the top-ranking institutes. Candidates need to sit for it and qualify to get admission to this program, which is conducted at the national and state level.
Candidates will be selected based on their merit at the entrances. Final selection of the candidates via group discussion along with an interview round. Also while shortlisting, the skills and abilities of candidates will be judged. After all the processes, candidates need to go through the document verification phase and counselling round.
BHMS Admission 2024
- Candidates may have to sit for the entrance, based on the college, they fill out the application form. This will follow the group discussion stage and personal interview round.
- The governing authority will assess the skills and abilities of the candidates.
- Candidates clearing these rounds are likely to appear for the counselling round.
- Also, candidates need to get at least 50% aggregate marks in their 10+2 exams to apply for BHMS course, in India, and they should not be more than 17 years at the time of admission. The counselling round may be conducted online for this year.

- The candidate should have scored an aggregate of 50% in 10th and 12th with Physics/Chemistry/Biology and Mathematics as core subjects.
